Lori Allen Of 'Say Yes To The Dress' Involved In 'Freak Accident' While Filming, Landing Her In The Hospital

If you thought that being a bridal store sales representative was a safe job, think again!

Lori Allen from Say Yes To The Dress recently revealed the "freak accident" she was involved in while filming.

While workplace safety is always an important thing to keep in mind, I definitely never imagined it would apply much to a bridal shop.

But turns out, working in the wedding dress industry is more dangerous than you may expect!

*Say Yes To The Dress* star, Lori Allen, recently revealed to *PEOPLE* the details of a "freak accident" that happened last year while filming.

Things took an ugly turn on the TLC show.

ICYMI, Lori, the owner of Bridals by Lori in Atlanta, Georgia, was hospitalized after taking a nasty tumble while filming season 11 of the *TLC* favorite, *Say Yes To The Dress*.

In an exclusive sneak peek of the season finale, Lori details exactly what went down.

Monte Durham, the store's fashion director, narrates the clip.

"We had just finished filming when Lori fell and it just wasn't any ordinary slipping on a dress," Monte says.

"She fell and hit pretty hard."

The clip then segues to a blank screen that reads, "Cameras had stopped recording, but the audio continued recording…"

Monte can be heard saying: "Oh, Lori! Are you okay?"

"No, I fell on my face. Oh my god," Lori replies, seeming to be in pain.

A producer then chimes in to ask, "Is she bleeding?"

"Yeah. Above the eyebrow," Monte responds.

"Oh I'm so hurt. Oh my hands," Lori can be heard saying.

The fall was so severe that they ended up having to call the paramedics.

"For her to hit the floor so very hard, it's pretty tough," Monte narrated. "There's nothing we could do."

"We called the paramedics and tried to comfort her on the floor until they arrived."

"She just kept saying 'It's bad y'all, it's bad.,'" he added.

While the incident itself happened off-camera, they managed to get footage of Lori being placed onto a stretcher by the paramedics.

"She's strong, she's going to get through this," Monte says.

"It's going to be a long recovery, so we are waiting for an update on that."

Since then, Lori has had a chance to give PEOPLE the full scoop on what happened and what her recovery has been like.

"We were filming the opening sequence of the show, Monte was spinning a dress, and the nude tulle train blended in exactly with the color of the hardwood floors," she explained.

"As it fell to the ground and I walked out of the scene—and I slipped on the train and fell flat on my face."

"I blacked out and don't remember anything after that."

"My nose and both wrists (all of which were broken in the fall) are still really sore," she said.

"I can't lift more than one bridal gown at a time, but I'm hoping my wrists improve."

She explained that the recovery process "was long and involved."

"Although I eat right and exercise regularly, the fact is that my body and bones are weak from fighting breast cancer," she said. "Through the fall, I learned I have osteoporosis which I am now treating."

"The fall reminded me to slow down and to be grateful for all of the amazing love and support I have in my life."

"I used the recovery period to rest, heal, and rehabilitate".

"But I also came out of recovery feeling very peaceful and focused on making the best out of my next chapter," she concluded.
